Female figure seated left, crowning instruments of science, commerce, and industry; shield below elbow; around, four oval medallions representing the four quarters of the globe. Rev. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION/PHILADELPHIA / MDCCCLXXVI // AWARDED BY / UNITED STATES / CENTENNIAL / COMMISSION in four lines; all within wreath. Julian AM-10. A large and impressive medal. Light scratches and with minor edge filing, otherwise, extremely fine.
